H2O Treasure hunt

When H2O launched their new exclusive fashion flip-flop sandals they hired Knowtheirname to create a creative stunt in order to raise awareness, reach younger followers and increase the engagement on their social media channels.   

The task was handed to me and I thought out the "findguldet"/"findthegold treasure hunt. 

Together with a colleague, I designed a both digital and real life treasure hunt in Aarhus, and hid 25 pairs of sandals for everyone to find –- but they had to figure out the clues on Instagram and Facebook in order to do so.

Before the treasure hunt we produced a teaser video and told people to sit tight and follow the social media pages in order to know, when the treasure hunt kicked off. 

 

On the day of the treasure hunt we shared pictures with clues on both Facebook og Instagram.

In order to get involvement on instagram we gave people the chance to win tickets and a H2O festival-kit for the music festival Northside. If they were unlucky to reach the sandals in time before someone else did, they still had the chance of winning the price as long as they posted a picture of them self and the sandals with the hashtag #findguldet.
